PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
At 23red, we don’t just make things look good, we change behaviour for the better. We are looking for a talented Junior Designer who is ready to use their skills for something that matters.
This is a hands-on role for a Junior creative designer who lives and breathes design. You won’t be stuck in a corner just resizing banners; you will be working closely with our Senior Designer and Head of Design to turn thoughts from Creative teams, Strategy and Client teams into beautiful, moving work.
We are looking for someone who understands the pace of agency life and is eager to grow . You will have the support to learn, the mentorship to improve your craft, and the opportunity to work on campaigns that make a genuine impact on the world.
WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?
• Bringing ideas to life: Working across digital, social, and print. You’ll take briefs from initial concept through to final delivery, ensuring everything we put out is crafted to perfection.
• Visual problem solving: Collaborating with everyone from Strategists to Account Managers to visualize complex ideas simply and effectively.
• Bringing designs to life with motion. Applying your design skills in animation and be keen to develop this skill further.
• Owning your craft: Ensuring all files are set up correctly, managing your own time across multiple projects, and keeping a cool head when deadlines get tight.
• Learning & evolving: Actively seeking feedback, keeping up with design trends, and mastering new tools (like Figma or AI workflows) to keep our team ahead of the curve.
WHAT WOULD REALLY MAKE YOU STAND OUT AS A CANDIDATE?
What We’re Looking For
• A standout portfolio: We want to see strong typography, excellent layout skills, and a keen eye for detail. (Quality over quantity!)
• Adobe Suite Fluency: You are totally comfortable in Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
• Motion Skills: You have a solid foundation in After Effects. You should be comfortable editing timelines and understand how to apply animation in a way that best brings a piece of communication to life.
• Agency Awareness: You understand how an agency ticks. Whether through previous internships or junior roles, you know how to handle files, take direction, and manage your time.
• A "Can-Do" Attitude: You are curious, proactive, and happy to chat with anyone in the building. You take feedback well and view it as a way to grow.
Bonus Points For
• Experience with Figma.
• Experience with Canva for quick-turnaround templates.
