Clark Wood are working with a national Top 20 firm in London who are actively looking for a Personal Tax Manager to join their team

The firm are looking for a talented Private Client Tax professional who thrives in a dynamic environment and enjoys tackling complex, high-value challenges. At this prestigious practice you’ll be surrounded by passionate specialists who go beyond the numbers — building deep client relationships, understanding their wider affairs, navigating international tax issues, and delivering insight that genuinely drives results.

As a Private Client Tax Manager in their London team, you’ll work with high net worth individuals, families, and their offshore structures. The London practice focuses on complex, advisory-led private client work, particularly involving international matters, non-doms, HMRC enquiries, offshore trusts, and bespoke project-based assignments. Routine compliance is largely delivered from other offices, enabling the London team to concentrate on technically interesting work that justifies a London footprint.

You’ll collaborate closely with two partners and a director, taking ownership of meaningful projects rather than inheriting a large, repetitive portfolio. The role offers variety, autonomy, and the opportunity to build your expertise quickly in a team that is relatively top-heavy and strongly focused on quality advisory work.

The role includes, but is not limited to:

• Managing and supporting on a range of complex private client advisory projects, including international and cross-border tax matters
• Working on non-dom, residence and domicile issues, remittances and offshore structures
• Advising on trusts, succession planning and inheritance tax matters
• Acting as a key point of contact for high value clients, taking ownership of progress and proactively communicating updates
• Collaborating closely with partners and senior team members on bespoke, often one-off projects
• Overseeing and reviewing complex personal or trust tax returns where London involvement is appropriate, coordinating with other offices for junior support
• Identifying opportunities for additional advisory work and contributing to business development

What We’re Looking For

• A Private Client Tax professional ready to step into a Manager role, or an experienced Manager seeking a more complex, advisory-led environment
• CTA qualified, or ACA/ACCA with strong private client tax experience
• Experience working with HNW/UHNW individuals, ideally with exposure to:
• International and cross-border matters
• Trusts and offshore structures
