Caretaker – SEN All-Through School in Richmond – ASAP Start!
A supportive and inclusive SEN all-through school in Richmond is seeking a reliable and proactive Caretaker to join the school as soon as possible. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a nurturing environment where pupil wellbeing, safety, and a well-maintained site are central to the school’s ethos.

Key Responsibilities
Opening and closing the school site each day
Carrying out general maintenance, repairs, and basic DIY tasks
Ensuring the site is clean, safe, and well presented
Conducting routine health & safety checks, including fire alarms and emergency lighting
Assisting with deliveries and setting up rooms for school events
Liaising with contractors and reporting any site issues
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
Previous experience as a Caretaker or in a site-based role
Practical maintenance and basic repair skills
Knowledge of health & safety procedures
The ability to prioritise tasks and work independently
A calm, patient, and professional approach
Strong reliability and good communication skills
