The Aubrey is a Japanese Izakaya & Bar concept with 132 covers and a private dining room serving brunch, dinner and late-night drinks. Our menu features classic dishes from Japanese cuisine, in interpretations that adapt and change with the seasons.

The restaurant has been created as a partnership between Maximal Concepts and Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park, London. Maximal Concepts is a Hong Kong-based company that has since expanded to locations including Singapore, Las Vegas and Vancouver.

As a Head Host/ess at The Aubrey, you will be responsible for:

  • You will be responsible for day to day management of the Host team
  • You will take reservations in a friendly and professional manner
  • Warmly greet all guests upon arrival, building rapport with new guests and recognising regular guests
  • You will follow up any special requests related to reservations
  • You communicate relevant information of each reservation to the (Head) Waiters and Managers

As a Head Host/ess, you will be working on a rotating shift basis, Monday to Sunday, 39 hours a week. Shift patterns will vary but are mainly evening or late-night shifts (including weekends and bank holidays), so flexibility is required where applicable. As Head Host you will be required to support our late night events until close.

To be a successful Head Host/ess candidate , you will have previous experience managing others and you will have experience in high standard hospitality establishment. You will be organised, show strong attention to detail and enjoy engaging with guests to deliver an exceptional luxury experience.
