Smart Teachers is seeking enthusiastic and adaptable Primary Supply Teachers to work across a variety of welcoming and inclusive primary schools in Hackney from September 2026

About the role

  • Deliver engaging lessons across EYFS, KS1 and KS2 following school planning where provided.
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes pupil progress and wellbeing.
  • Adapt quickly to different school settings and establish positive relationships with pupils and staff.
  • Effectively manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
  • Provide feedback to schools on pupil progress and lesson outcomes where required.

About the school

We work with a wide network of schools, offering roles across EYFS, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.

Requirements

To be considered for the role of Primary Supply Teacher you will:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
  • Recent experience teaching within a UK primary school
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:

  • Suitable teaching experience
