2026 Savills Graduate Programme - Planning Economics
Role title: Graduate Planner/Surveyor – Economics – (September 2026 start)
Salary: London: £30,000 and £1,500 sign on bonus

About this role:
The remit of the Economics team is to lead on work in the field of property, planning and economics, covering:
- Preparing and influencing economic, planning, property development, regeneration, and infrastructure development strategy, policy, research, and delivery at national, sub-regional and local levels.
- Establishing the economic, financial, market and business cases for projects and programmes, including major development proposals and estate/property initiatives.
- Carrying out social and economic impact assessments, for example as part of the formal environmental impact assessment (EIA) process.
- Developing new business opportunities in the field of economic consultancy as opportunities arise.
- The team draws upon and works with other teams in Savills, for example its remit includes working with the Savills Research team to jointly develop areas of research that will raise the profile of the company.
- Work with others on marketing and bids to secure work; work with colleagues in the delivery of projects; and build up expertise in agreed areas of work.

Key Activities:
Help prepare competitive proposals; take responsibility for elements of projects from the earliest stages through to completion; undertake research and analysis; help develop creative and original solutions to satisfy all parties; contribute to writing complex reports, interpreting data and making clear and relevant recommendations; contribute to and take part in presentations at meetings; communicate and negotiate effectively with clients and colleagues; maintain an awareness of market conditions and government policies; keep informed about documents relating to relevant policy and practice; and attend external events and identify business opportunities.

Training:
We provide comprehensive training and revision programmes to support you passing your Royal Town Planning Institute or Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors Assessment of Professional Competency (APC) and you will be allocated a mentor to guide you through this process.
During the two year training programme you will work with people in Planning and other parts of the company to build up a variety of experience and contacts to be able to meet the APC requirements, but also to cross sell and share information with our multi-disciplinary teams as you progress through the business. Experiencing a variety of teams and working styles is fundamental to developing your understanding of Savills, the market and our clients.
As a graduate, you'll also have regular opportunities to attend technical, business skills and personal development activities - including conferences, courses, lectures, networking, revision sessions and social events.

Once you've successfully passed your APC and become a member of the Royal Institution of Town Planners (RTPI) or Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), you'll continue to receive training and career development opportunities.
