We are working with a forward-thinking, "Outstanding" mixed school in Brent recruiting for a scholarly History ECT. The Role & Responsibilities Supporting the Head of History, you will deliver a broad and diverse curriculum that spans from the medieval period to modern global politics.
Academic Delivery: Teaching History across KS3 and KS4, focusing on evidence-based argument, source analysis, and sophisticated historiography.
Mentoring Excellence: Participating in the school's internal "Teaching Lab" where staff share innovative methods for teaching complex, and sometimes sensitive, historical concepts.
Curriculum Innovation: Helping to refine schemes of work that reflect the diverse backgrounds of our student body in Brent.
Professional Induction: Weekly 1:1 sessions with a dedicated mentor to support your transition into the profession and ensure a successful end to your first year.
Requirements
Degree: A high-level degree in History or a related discipline.
QTS: Mandatory for this permanent role.
Right to Work: Must have the right to work in the UK.
Salary & Contract Details
Salary Range: £40,317 – £62,496 (M1 – UPS3 Inner London Scale)
Hours: Full-time | Permanent | ASAP Start
