The Role: Children's Home Manager We are seeking a passionate, experienced, and dedicated Children's Home Manager to take the lead in overseeing the day-to-day operations of a residential children's home. This is an exceptional opportunity for a values-driven professional who is committed to safeguarding and transforming the lives of vulnerable young people. As the Registered Manager, you will ensure that the home operates in full compliance with all relevant legislation and Ofsted requirements while providing strong leadership to a team of care professionals. Your role will be central in delivering positive outcomes for children and maintaining a culture of excellence and compassion. Key Responsibilities: Lead, manage and inspire a team of residential support staff to deliver outstanding care to children.
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the home, including staffing, budgeting, and rota planning.
Develop and implement individualised care plans to meet each child's emotional, behavioural, and developmental needs.
Ensure full compliance with Ofsted regulations, safeguarding legislation, and health & safety standards.
Build effective relationships with external professionals, including social workers, education providers, and health services.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in line with safeguarding and care standards.
Embed a strong safeguarding culture, ensuring all staff uphold the highest standards of child protection.
Conduct staff supervisions, performance reviews, and ongoing training to ensure continuous professional development.
Promote a warm, inclusive, and empowering environment for children and staff alike.Skills and Experience: Essential: Previous experience managing a residential children's home or similar care setting.
Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to build and maintain a motivated workforce.
In-depth understanding of safeguarding procedures, children's residential regulations, and Ofsted standards.
Experience supporting children with complex emotional, behavioural, and social needs.
Excellent interpersonal, organisational, and communication skills.
Ability to manage budgets, rotas, and administrative tasks efficiently.
