Barista - Shoreditch
About Origin
Founded in 2004, Origin Coffee is one of Europe’s leading speciality coffee roasters. For nearly two decades, we’ve been shaping positive change in the industry, recently recognised as Most Sustainable Brand at the European Coffee and Hospitality Awards, and Overall Winner at the Global Coffee Awards. We’re based in Cornwall, with coffee shops across London, Cornwall, Bristol, and Edinburgh.
We’re proud to be a certified B Corp and a Real Living Wage employer with a true people‑first culture. We believe people do their best work when they feel supported, trusted, and able to grow.
About the role
As a Barista at Origin, you will deliver an exceptional coffee experience while upholding our quality standards and creating meaningful customer interactions. You play a key role in ensuring every cup reflects our commitment to provenance, seasonality, and transparency in a high-volume, public-facing environment.
As a key member of the retail team, you will:
Deliver outstanding coffee and service, ensuring every customer leaves with a memorable experience
Maintain consistency in coffee quality by adhering to Origin’s standards and recipes
Engage with customers to share knowledge, inspire appreciation for specialty coffee, and build brand loyalty
Support the retail team in achieving operational excellence and driving performance
This is an opportunity for a passionate coffee enthusiast to step into the specialty coffee world and develop foundational skills into professional expertise. Previous barista or hospitality experience is valued, but what matters most is curiosity, care, and a genuine interest in specialty coffee.
