Practice of Law, Product Technology Specialist - 12 month FTC

The Department

The Product team is a customer facing team of technology professionals that support the delivery of value through technology. This is an exciting time to join the team as we continue to help drive forward the Firm's knowledge strategy as part of a product facing organisation approach, working closely with the Knowledge Lawyers (KLs), Risk & Compliance and the wider business.

The Role

The purpose of this role is to work as part of a highly collaborative team and lead the provision of knowledge management and legal tech services to the Firm and to deliver against our knowledge initiatives. You will play a crucial role in streamlining document creation processes and improving efficiency across the Firm. This role will report into the Product team for the Practice of Law and will be responsible for the support and development across a range of products

This role will suit someone who is a technical expert in their field, who wants to take a 'hands on' approach to delivering exceptional technical support ranging from, document automation and KM systems with a 'high touch' approach to working alongside key stakeholders across the business. Additionally, this role will work highly collaboratively across the product team and other key stakeholders to deliver forward thinking solutions and ideas to continue to develop our place as a leading law firm in the legal tech space utilising the most effective and efficient technology to support its delivery of legal services.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Document Automation
  • Collaborate with the Knowledge Lawyers and wider business to prepare, maintain and advise on template markups using Contract Express, both stand-alone and integrated within the HighQ platform.
  • Conduct testing of automations to ensure accuracy and effectiveness.
  • Administer templates by configuring permissions, workflows, and profiles as needed.
  • Provide troubleshooting support and training to colleagues on templates.
  • Utilise complementary products such as DocuSign integration, and external tables/API configurations to enhance document automation processes.
  • Our Intranet
  • Maintain intranet pages and liaise with the relevant content managers over intranet content.
  • Create new pages for content managers, maintain navigational links and security settings, and delete old pages.
  • Our knowledge
  • Work with KLs and the business to develop solutions for collating and surfacing other knowledge collections for example by looking at options for knowledge database solutions and/or supporting our existing clause bank technology.
  • Legal Tech
  • Work closely with Practice Transformation on creation of use case templates and complex data sites.
  • General
  • Assist with administration and governance across our portfolio of systems, including but not limited to Laserforms Hub, DocuSign, Thirdfort, Bundledocs and HiQ.
  • Capture webpages and social media using PageVault.
  • Maintenance and creation of supporting documentation for our portfolio of systems and procedures.
  • Assist with KM and legal tech related projects.
  • Work closely with Tech Academy on eLearning and training across our portfolio of systems.

Skills/experience

  • Recognised as an experienced expert in their specialism with broad knowledge of the legal tech industry
  • Strong tech skills. With the ability to pickup and learn a range of knowledge systems
  • Strong ambassador for the Knowledge Solutions Team and The Product function. Able to represent the team across the MDR Group as well as externally where needed.
  • Professional, warm, accessible and able to work effectively with a wide range of people.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively using the most appropriate medium and avoiding the use of jargon.
  • Self-awareness, with strong emotional intelligence and the ability to give and receive feedback, as well as influencing people of all levels.
  • Exceptionally strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage time, expectations, and input needed from others to make things happen in a fast-moving and fluid environment.
