UI/UX Designer

CareADHD
Central London

✨Join Us at The Centre for ADHD Research and Excellence: Shaping the Future of Accessible Healthcare✨

At CARE ADHD, we're revolutionising private healthcare by making ADHD assessments and treatment more affordable and accessible to those who need it. Our client-centred approach, combined with lean methodology and a focus on continuous improvement, drives our commitment to excellence. We embrace an innovative mindset, encouraging rapid learning and adaptation through our 'fail fast' ethos. With ambitious plans to become the largest ADHD service provider outside the NHS within the next five years, we are committed to pushing boundaries and fostering innovation.

💫What we are looking for?

We’re looking for a modern UI/UX Designer who’s passionate about creating accessible, beautiful, and user-centred experiences across both web and mobile platforms. This role is about more than just making things “look nice” — we need someone who can simplify complexity, design with accessibility at the forefront, and translate clinical and operational needs into intuitive digital experiences.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Be driven by a desire to make digital healthcare simple, clear, and accessible to all
  • Bring hands-on experience with Figma (or similar design tools), and feel confident taking over and extending existing design systems
  • Show initiative and be comfortable working independently, while also collaborating closely with developers and clinicians
  • Care deeply about accessibility, inclusivity, and usability in design
  • Be curious, practical, and adaptable — ready to experiment, test ideas, and iterate quickly
  • Enjoy tackling design problems that require balancing regulatory/compliance needs with user experience
  • Communicate design decisions clearly, showing how they connect back to patient experience and business goals
  • Be excited to work in a healthcare start-up where good design can genuinely impact people’s lives

😎What You’ll Be Doing:

As our UI/UX Designer, you’ll take the lead on creating and refining the design of our web and mobile products. You’ll shape user journeys, craft clean and modern interfaces, and ensure accessibility is built into everything we deliver. You’ll collaborate closely with developers, clinicians, and patient-facing staff to ensure our digital services are not just functional — but delightful and empowering for the people who use them.

  • Take ownership of our existing design system in Figma , maintaining consistency while evolving it as the product grows
  • Design intuitive, accessible interfaces for web and mobile apps , with a strong focus on usability for diverse users
  • Partner with developers to ensure your designs are implemented faithfully and efficiently
  • Collaborate with clinical and operational teams to understand user pain points and translate them into design solutions
  • Conduct and incorporate user feedback, testing, and iteration to continuously improve experiences
  • Drive accessibility-first design practices , ensuring our tools meet or exceed WCAG standards
  • Advocate for best practices in modern UX/UI design, introducing new ideas and trends where they add value
  • Create clear design documentation to support collaboration and implementation
  • Support the ongoing consolidation of our tech stack by aligning designs across different products into one cohesive experience

🚀To thrive in this role you’ll need to:

  • Have strong experience designing for both web and mobile (ideally Flutter or React-based apps)
  • Be fluent with Figma (component libraries, prototyping, responsive design)
  • Have a portfolio that demonstrates modern, accessible, and user-centred design work
  • Care about accessibility standards (WCAG, inclusive design, colour contrast, assistive tech) and how to build them into every screen
  • Understand how to collaborate effectively with developers — thinking in terms of design systems, components, and reusability
  • Be comfortable iterating quickly, producing low-fidelity wireframes through to high-fidelity prototypes
  • Have strong communication skills — able to explain why a design decision matters in simple, non-jargon terms
  • Be curious and proactive, always looking for ways to simplify, improve, and delight users
  • Be excited to join a fast-moving, mission-driven HealthTech environment where design has a direct impact on patient care

  • Hybrid/Remote - Office days based in our modern Canary Wharf Office space.
  • 30 days holiday (includes UK public holidays)

🩵Apply with Confidence

At Care ADHD, we’re committed to building a diverse and inclusive environment. We encourage applications from candidates of all backgrounds, especially those from historically marginalised communities, as we work together to create a more equitable future.
