Summary of role

Working as an IT Support Technician in the Service Desk Team, you will be responsible for providing 1st and 2nd line technical assistance to end-users. Troubleshooting hardware and software issues and ensuring the smooth operation of IT systems and support across the organisation, while also delivering excellent customer service to all users. Weekend availability with a rota shift working pattern will be applied. Working 5 out of 7 days through the week. 5 days on site support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify the root-causes and provide support to end users and infrastructure issues.

  • Collaborate with other IT teams across the group.

  • Communicate with the onsite and remote users for troubleshooting

  • Coordinates the technical support specialists whilst working on site

  • Participate in the IT procurement process

  • Provides recommendation for equipment and software configurations.

  • Provide VC assistance to VIP’s and meeting room presentations equipment.

  • Communicate with external IT services providers and suppliers.

  • Provide support and input for projects to be delivered for our brands

  • On site support with weekend cover for brands as required

Requirements

Qualifications / Education

  • A qualification in Information Technology or a related discipline

Skills & Knowledge

  • Experience providing technical support for Windows and macOS devices, with a strong working knowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office applications.

  • Experience with Windows Server administration.

  • Understanding of LAN and WAN network services and administration.

  • Ability to support local Wi-Fi services, telephony systems, and video conferencing endpoint solutions.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to clearly and professionally support end users.

  • Experience supporting Microsoft 365 platforms and applications.

Experience

  • Demonstrated experience in IT support or user services roles.
