Hackney: SEND Teaching Assistant needed!
This successful and inclusive primary school in Hackney is now looking for a SEND Teaching Assistant to join the support staff team, to start ASAP.
You will be joining a friendly and dedicated team of staff in a very supportive work environment, where everyone works collaboratively to create and provide a safe, encouraging and positive learning environment where each child feels supported and is able to thrive academically, personally and socially.
Working full time as a SEND TA, you will be:
- Supporting children with SEND, within the classroom and in smaller groups or 1:1 where necessary, ensuring they are able to access the full curriculum
- Planning and delivering learning interventions to students 1:1 or in small groups, and monitoring their progress
- Supporting non verbal children with Speech & Language activities
- Working closely with key children who have EHCPs and/or IEPs to support and help them reach the targets and objectives they have been set
As this is a long-term and ongoing SEND Teaching Assistant position expected to last until the end of the academic year in July, you will see the progress and growth made by your key children across the entire school year.
You will be an important part of the school community, and there is the potential for this to become a permanent position in the future, as well as opportunities for career progression.Prior experience in a childcare setting would be desirable for this SEND Teaching Assistant position.
