Live-in Nanny-Housekeeper in Islington, London, Job ID J218D2

This lovely family based in Islington, London, is looking for a Live-in Nanny-Housekeeper to maintain their house clean while taking care of their lovely baby. The role is Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend support and babysitting. It will start with a strong focus on sole-charge childcare, alongside housekeeping duties such as general cleaning, family laundry, and help with dinner preparation during naps or when the parents are with the child. A bonus if the candidate speaks French and holds a driving licence. The family is looking for someone comfortable travelling since they would be spending the vacation out of the country. The family has a cat (no care required). A valid first-aid qualification is needed for this position.

Working hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00 am to 7:00 pm (1-2 hours daily during downtime; occasional ad-hoc weekend cover and babysitting required) (50 paid hours per week)

Accommodation: The candidate will have full use of a private nanny annex, featuring its own private bathroom, kitchen, and living space.

Duties include:

• keeping the home very clean and tidy through regular vacuuming, mopping, dusting
• cleaning bathrooms and the kitchen.
• It also involves full laundry and wardrobe care for the family, including washing, drying, ironing, folding clothes, and changing bed linen and towels regularly.
• practical help in the kitchen, such as preparing ingredients, cooking simple and healthy meals, or following set recipes so that dinner is ready or well underway by the evening.
• As the baby grows, this may also include preparing fresh, age-appropriate meals during the weaning stage.
