SEN Teaching Assistant (Intimate Care) Location: Tower Hamelts Salary: £90 - £120 per day Start Date: ASAP Contract: Long Term

GSL Education London Branch are excited to be looking for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming secondary comprehensive school and sixth form for girls in Tower Hamlets. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant who is passionate about supporting students with additional needs and making a real difference every day.

As a SEN Teaching Assistant (Intimate Care) , you will work closely with students who require personal and physical support, helping them to access education in a safe, respectful, and supportive environment. The school is seeking a reliable and caring SEN Teaching Assistant who can confidently provide intimate care and manual handling support.

Responsibilities:

Support students with special educational needs on a 1:1 and small group basis

Provide Intimate Care, including personal care, bed transfers, and hoist use

Carry out manual handling safely and in line with training and school policies

Support students' learning, independence, and well-being throughout the school day

Work closely with teachers, SEN staff, and external professionals

Maintain dignity, privacy, and respect for all students at all times

Follow safeguarding, health, and safety procedures

Requirements:

Previous experience working as a SEN Teaching Assistant or in a similar role

Strong English skills and relevant qualifications

Ability to provide Intimate Care, including manual handling (bed and hoist)

A valid Manual Handling Certificate

A caring, patient, and professional approach

Ability to work well as part of a team in a school environment
