• 40 Hours per week
• Monday-Friday
• 07:00-15:00 (can differ due to business needs) overtime is available and encouraged for events and out of core hours and is paid at an enhanced rate.

About the Role:

We are looking for a skilled Sous Chef to join our team at Sodexo. This is a hands-on role supporting the Head Chef in delivering high-quality food for a range of services, from workplace dining to events and corporate hospitality.

You’ll play a keyrole in maintaining high standards, supporting menu development, and ensuringsmooth day-to-day kitchen operations.

Key responsibilities:

• Work alongside the Head Chef to deliver 5* excellent food and service
• Prepare meals for daily service and events (2–220 covers, including canapés and fine dining)
• Support in designing and delivering menus tailored to client requirements
• Manage supplier relationships, place orders, and oversee stock control
• Monitor and report wastage accurately
• Ensure compliance with health & safety, food safety, and allergen regulations
• Maintain proper stock rotation and secure storage of all ingredients

What we’re looking for:

• Previous experience as a chef in a high-volume setting
• Professional cookery or culinary qualifications
• Knowledge of fine dining and canapé preparation
• Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise tasks
• Intermediate Food Hygiene Certificate (essential)
• First Aid Certificate (desirable)
