PMLD Specialist Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a passionate and experienced PMLD Specialist Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team. You will support students with complex needs, providing personalised care and learning support in a safe, stimulating environment. This is an opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our learners and their families. Key Responsibilities: Support students with PMLD in all aspects of their education and daily routines.
Assist in planning and delivering personalised learning activities.
Implement and monitor individual care plans and learning strategies.
Facilitate communication and social interaction, using alternative and augmentative communication (AAC) methods where appropriate.
Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other staff to provide holistic support.
Promote independence, well-being, and positive behaviour.
Maintain accurate records and contribute to assessment and reporting.Person Specification: Experience working with children or adults with PMLD or complex SEN.
Understanding of strategies to support learning, communication, and sensory needs.
Patience, empathy, and excellent interpersonal skills.
Ability to work as part of a team and follow professional guidance.
