Wholesale Merchandiser in London Area
Job description
Elite are partnering with a heritage tailoring brand seeking a Wholesale Merchandiser to join the team.
The Role
This position supports the Head of Merchandising in identifying opportunities across all channels and markets, helping to shape commercial strategy and develop trading infrastructure to maximise performance.
You’ll define and manage a market-led trading calendar that connects all business functions, ensuring competitiveness and commercial success through effective planning and execution of trading events to achieve revenue, profit, and sell-through targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Devise and drive trading, marketing, and merchandising strategies in close collaboration with planning, marketing, and ecommerce teams to meet and exceed targets for both owned and third-party websites.
- Manage product selection and day-to-day trading activities across all online channels.
- Produce accurate daily, weekly, and seasonal trading reports, identifying trends and opportunities.
- Use a data-driven approach to analyse performance, highlight trade risks, and propose optimisation strategies.
- Oversee seasonal product launches and ensure successful execution across all ecommerce platforms.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to maintain accuracy and consistency of product data and content.
- Conduct regular quality checks on third-party catalogues, optimising categorisation, product pages, and brand shops to improve visibility and conversion.
- Plan and implement promotions, sales, and seasonal marketing campaigns across all online channels.
- Foster strong collaboration across departments, especially Ecommerce, Marketing, and Product.
- Maintain customer-focused knowledge of key markets (including the UK, US, and international regions) and identify new opportunities for growth.
- Monitor competitor activity and bring fresh ideas to enhance trading performance.
- Support the development of in-season trading calendars, pricing strategies, and channel/localisation plans.
About You
- 4+ years of experience in a similar merchandisng role at Assistant or Junior Merchandiser level within a retail or consumer-facing brand.
- Strong analytical mindset with advanced Excel skills.
- Highly organised with the ability to prioritise multiple projects.
- Proactive and solution-oriented approach to problem-solving.
- Collaborative team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Confident presenting to and influencing internal and external stakeholders.
