Mechanical Project Manager / Engineer
£80,000 – £95,000 + Travel + Private Healthcare + Pension | Projects across London & South East
We’re recruiting on behalf of a highly respected, independent M&E contractor that delivers quality-led mechanical installations across commercial and specialist sectors. With a strong pipeline of negotiated Design & Build projects, they’re looking for an experienced Mechanical Project Manager / Engineer to join their growing team.
This is a client-facing role that offers full involvement from pre-construction and design development through to final handover. Ideal for someone who enjoys taking responsibility, values long-term relationships, and wants to work with a business that prioritises engineering integrity over Tier 1 politics.
Role Overview:
Manage D&B mechanical projects from early design input to delivery and handover
Work closely with design engineers and consultants during pre-construction
Oversee project planning, procurement, delivery, and commissioning
Build and maintain strong client and supply chain relationships
Deliver high-quality installations in a collaborative and respectful environment
Ensure compliance with health & safety, budget control, and programme targets What You’ll Bring:
Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
Proven background managing D&B mechanical projects
Strong understanding of building services design and delivery
Clear communication and client-facing experience
Collaborative mindset – you're professional, practical, and easy to work with Package & Benefits:
£80,000 – £95,000 salary (depending on experience)
