About the Role

We are looking for a hands-on Senior Product Manager to help us mature and improve our established product ecosystem.

This is an individual contributor role for someone who enjoys being close to customers, working through detail with designers and engineers, and taking ownership from early discovery through delivery, adoption and continuous improvement.

Our Product team is small. You will work directly with our Product Designer and partner closely with Engineering, AI, Commercial and Customer teams. You will bring structure and momentum to the day-to-day product process while remaining comfortable doing the practical work yourself, from customer interviews and problem definition to writing clear requirements, testing solutions and reviewing results after launch.

The product is already in market, so the focus is on understanding where it can work better, strengthening the customer experience and improving how our software, data and physical systems work together in live production environments. You will contribute to the roadmap within the product direction set by our leadership, rather than being expected to define company-wide product strategy or build a new function from scratch.

This role will be based in our London office at least one day a week and reports directly to Ambrish, our Cofounder and Exec Team.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the product lifecycle: Manage work from discovery and validation through prioritisation, delivery, launch, adoption and iteration. Make sure we learn from what we release and use those insights to improve the product.

• Mature the existing product: Identify opportunities to improve usability, onboarding, reliability, customer value and operational efficiency across products already used in live customer environments.

• Stay close to customers: Spend time with recycling operators, enterprise customers and internal teams to understand real workflows, pain points and priorities. Turn what you learn into clear product problems and measurable outcomes.

• Shape and manage the roadmap: Work with cross-functional leaders to translate product direction into a focused, realistic roadmap. Balance customer needs, commercial priorities, technical dependencies and longer-term product health.

• Define clear product work: Write practical requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria. Partner closely with our Product Designer to test assumptions and ensure proposed solutions are useful, usable and ready for Engineering.

• Partner with Engineering: Work day to day with technical teams to understand constraints, make sensible trade-offs and keep delivery moving. Be comfortable discussing data quality, system dependencies and the realities of software connected to hardware.

• Support delivery and launch: Maintain clarity on scope, decisions and progress throughout development. Coordinate with Commercial and Customer teams so releases are understood, introduced well and supported by the right product knowledge.

• Measure product performance: Define practical success measures and use product data, customer feedback and operational insight to assess adoption, retention and value. Use evidence to recommend what should change next.

• Strengthen product ways of working: Help a small team establish lightweight, repeatable practices for discovery, prioritisation, decision-making and delivery without adding unnecessary process.

What You'll Bring

• Extensive commercial product management experience, with strong evidence of personally owning products through the full lifecycle.

• Experience improving and maturing an established product after launch, including using customer feedback and product data to guide prioritisation and iteration.

• A hands-on approach and experience working effectively in a small or lean Product team, where you have personally carried out discovery, written requirements and supported delivery.

• Experience with B2B software or data products. Experience in industrial, manufacturing, recycling, logistics or another physical production environment would be particularly valuable.

• A practical understanding of how software interacts with hardware, operational workflows and real-world constraints. Experience with hardware-enabled SaaS, IoT or data products is helpful.

• Strong product discovery skills, including customer interviews, problem definition, hypothesis testing and translating insight into focused product work.

• Sound technical judgement and the ability to work confidently with Engineering, Data and AI teams. You do not need to be an engineer, but you should be able to understand dependencies, ask good questions and make clear trade-offs.

• A record of balancing customer needs, commercial priorities and technical constraints while keeping delivery focused and achievable.

• Clear written and verbal communication, with the ability to bring structure to complex discussions and keep teams aligned on decisions, scope and outcomes.

• Comfort working directly with customers and visiting operational sites to understand how products are used in practice.

About Greyparrot

The world is in a waste crisis. Currently we produce 2.1 billion tons of solid waste per year. Data collection of the waste we produce is non-existent, meaning no systematic transparency and no accountability. It means that recycling targets are not upheld, dumping of waste into our oceans remains nobody's responsibility, recyclables get sent to landfill or incineration, and producers get away with sub-standard packaging. Thus, recycling rates stubbornly remain at 10% and, unless we change, by 2040 the plastic stock in the ocean will have quadrupled - a problem that already costs society $1.5 trillion each year.

Our mission is to digital waste flows to accelerate the circular economy. Currently, our camera system and AI software are deployed in recycling plants and waste facilities around the world to measure material flows and provide waste analytics. We have compiled a team of experts to deploy our technology and we’re looking to expand our team.
