Location: Kilburn, North West London
Pay: £90-£110 per day
Hours: Monday-Friday | 8:30am-4:00pm

Are you an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding full-time role in a welcoming primary school? A vibrant and inclusive mainstream primary school in Kilburn is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a Reception pupil with Autism (ASD) from September 2026 through to July 2027.

This is an excellent opportunity for a caring and proactive Teaching Assistant who is passionate about helping young children with additional needs thrive both academically and socially.

The Role

As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Provide dedicated 1:1 support for a child in Reception (EYFS) with Autism (ASD)
• Build a positive, trusting relationship that encourages confidence and independence
• Support communication, emotional regulation and classroom engagement
• Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver tailored learning strategies
• Adapt activities to meet the child's individual needs while encouraging inclusion within the classroom
• Monitor progress and celebrate every achievement along the way

What We're Looking For

We're looking for a Teaching Assistant who has:

• At least 1 year's experience supporting children with SEN or complex additional needs
• Previous experience in a primary school, nursery, tuition, or similar child-focused setting
• A patient, nurturing and resilient approach
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively
• A genuine passion for supporting children with Autism and helping them reach their potential
