Painting Engineer - (Assistant Service Engineer Level 2) - Days

We have a great opportunity to join our engineer team in our Selhurst Depot

If you have previous experience and looking for a new adventure..

You will be responsible for ..

Carrying out and coordinating routine maintenance & repairs in line with the grade and current maintenance plan requirements as directed by their Production Leader.

• Prepare surface by cleaning, sanding, scraping and priming
• Mixing paints accurately to the required specifications for each vehicle.
• Apply paint, topcoats, varnishes and other finishes primarily using roller but also including brushing and spraying techniques.
• Repair and spray components in spray booth.
• Conducting inspections to ensure product meets standards. Troubleshooting and resolving any issues relating.
• Maintain a clean organised work environment. Carrying out basic routine maintenance of spray both and L.E.V systems.
• Comply with safety systems and procedures at all times.
• Update maintenance records within company systems.

• Carry out non-maintenance related activities (e.g. Crane, scissor lift etc.) as directed by your Production Leader and where competent to do so.
• Carry out all other duties where trained and competent to do so.

What we want from you.

1. Must be able to achieve ASE2 Painter Standard
2. A minimum of two and half years of relevant painter experience.
3. Be able to meet the requirements of a job specific medical
4. Able to meet the competency requirements for safety and task specific training.
5. Familiar with (or able, with training, to become familiar with rolling stock maintained or repaired by GTR.
6. Be willing learn new skills appropriate to the role.
7. Proficiency in surface preparations, mixing
8. Positive and professional attitude with good working relationships.
9. Ability to effectively solve problems in a safe and effective manner.
