Associate Price Data Analyst

What we’re looking for
We are seeking a proactive, detail-oriented, and enthusiastic Associate Prices Data Analyst to join our Price Data Operations team. This entry-level role is perfect for someone passionate about data and eager to contribute to delivering market intelligence to the global energy and commodity markets.
You’ll collaborate closely with experienced analysts and engineers, supporting data-driven processes that ensure efficient data flow and analytics across the organization. The ideal candidate is a strong team player with excellent communication skills, a keen eye for detail, and a can-do attitude - ready to learn, adapt, and grow.
What will you be doing
The team supports Argus’ key business processes every day, as such you will be required to work on a shift-based schedule with other members of the team supporting the business until 8pm. Typically support hours run from 12pm to 8pm with each member of the team participating 2-3 times a week to support global 24/7 data operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Setting up and managing metadata to ensure accuracy, and compliance
- Supporting clients with queries relating to:
- integration of Argus data and metadata into client systems
- data validation
- provision of data
- Executing queries to retrieve and manipulate structured datasets for analysis and efficient data workflows
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to collect data requirements
- Communicating technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Mathematics, Business, Engineering or a related field
- Strong proficiency in MS Excel
- Working knowledge and experience of SQL for querying relational databases, preferably in Oracle, including stored procedures, functions and triggers
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication and collaboration skills
- An understanding of project management principles, including task prioritization and working within structured timelines
