Frensh-speaking Governess, Job ID J1E03A
A lovely family residing in London is looking for an experienced Governess or After-school Nanny to join them in the afternoons. This is a permanent position, with an existing candidate covering the mornings. The ideal candidate will be a fluent French speaker, as the children attend a French school. The role will involve supporting the children with their homework and providing assistance as a teaching assistant (TA) when needed. Experience working with children who have special needs is essential. The family is flexible for the right candidate and eager to find someone who can become a valued part of their routine. A valid first aid qualification is a requirement for this position.
Working hours: 4/5 days a week - from 4 pm - 7 pm | Flexibility can be provided
Duties include:
- Ensuring the safety, well-being, and overall development of the children
- Engaging the children in interactive play, educational activities, and outdoor outings such as park visits
- Establishing and maintaining consistent daily routines to provide structure and stability
- Support with school homework, revision, reading, and other academic subjects as required
- Create a fun, engaging curriculum and learning plans tailored to the children's interests and developmental stages
- Provide positive reinforcement and implement age-appropriate disciplinary strategies to help guide behaviour
- Regularly update parents on the children’s progress, development, and any concerns
