HR Operations Manager (Maternity Cover)

Are you a strategic and detail-oriented HR Operations professional ready to lead operational excellence in a dynamic organisation? We’re looking for an experienced HR Operations Manager to oversee all transactional functions within our People Services team, ensuring alignment with IWM’s wider strategic priorities.

This is a fast-paced, multi-faceted role where you’ll manage payroll and benefits, optimise HR systems, and collaborate across departments to deliver seamless, people-focused services.

Role Responsibilities

  • Manage internal payroll processes and oversee contracts with external providers to ensure timely, accurate, and cost-effective service delivery.
  • Ensure smooth operation of our digital HR systems, identifying opportunities to improve user experience and streamline processes.
  • Work closely with HR Business Partners to ensure operational processes support the delivery of strategic people initiatives.
  • Develop and manage HR SLAs, fostering effective relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Continuously improve HR lifecycle processes, collaborating on projects like onboarding and system upgrades.
  • Maintain GDPR/DPA compliance and provide accurate HR data and reporting to internal and external bodies.
  • Manage a dedicated HR operations team focused on payroll, benefits, and systems support.
  • Collaborate with teams across People & Culture, Internal Comms, and Digital Engagement to ensure HR information is accessible, effective, and continuously improving.

What You'll Bring

  • Proven generalist HR experience at Advisor or Manager level.
  • CIPD/CIPP (or equivalent) qualification.
  • A track record of improving systems and processes within an HR context.
  • Essential: Current working knowledge of iTrent HR and Payroll software.
