As a 3.5T Delivery Driver based in Barking, youll be responsible for:

• Driving a 3.5T automatic van to deliver plumbing and heating supplies to our customers mainly within a 30 mile radius of the branch

• The number of deliveries will vary day to day generally 12 - 13 to new build construction sites, the Council and residential customers

• Carrying out vehicle checks

• Loading and unloading deliveries, which involves manual handling of heavy items such as boilers, radiators, toilets and sinks

• Assisting in the warehouse if back from deliveries early with unloading stock, picking & packing orders for next day deliveries, stock checks and general tidying.

This is a permanent position working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 06:30am - 3:30pm.

And heres what wed like you to have:

• Full Clean UK Manual Driving Licence

• FORS accreditation - Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme is preferable

• Previous multidrop driving is preferred

• Excellent communication skills

• Basic computer skills and familiarity with PDA devices

• To be a team player who is happy to assist in the warehouse to ensure the smooth running of the branch

• Eagerness to learn, with a positive and enthusiastic attitude and a strong work ethic
