Assistant Finance Manager | The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust
We are currently recruiting for an Assistant Finance Manager role within the Royal Marsden Finance Team. This role sits within the Corporate Services Finance Team and reports into the Divisional Finance Manager. This role will be responsible for providing high-quality, timely and accurate financial management information to a range of corporate departments/functions. You will be a key point of contact within the team for budget holders and service managers. You will also provide support and input to quarterly forecasts and annual business plans, projects, business cases and service developments.
The successful candidate will be self-motivated with excellent communication skills and the ability to build and maintain relationship both internally within Finance and with business stakeholders. The postholder will be responsible for producing reports, projections and analysis and will liaise with budget holders and other managers to generate “intelligence” to support forecasting and the medium term business planning process. To be responsible for the production of the monthly budget statements and associated reports for a wide range of budgets in accordance with agreed timetables
2. To develop and maintain an integrated financial performance report, including a year end forecast, highlighting key variances and trends in activity and finance, commenting on influencing factors and advising on any necessary management action.
3. To meet regularly with budget holders and Senior Managers to assess financial performance and to provide financial management information, analysis and advice to them regarding key risks and critical success factors in achieving financial targets.
4. To ensure budget holders and managers have an awareness of financial performance requirements, including the need for budgetary control and adherence to SFIs, and to provide financial awareness
