If you're considering a future in teaching and want to gain meaningful experience in the classroom, this is an excellent opportunity to step into a full-time role supporting secondary school students in a dynamic North West London school.
Veritas are looking for a bright and enthusiastic Maths Graduate to join a forward-thinking secondary school in Brent as a Teaching Assistant . You'll work closely with students aged 11-16, supporting them in maths lessons and across the curriculum. This is a fantastic first step for graduates who are serious about progressing into teacher training or are considering working within education.
Your Role Will Involve:Assisting teachers in delivering engaging maths lessons
Supporting students 1:1 or in small groups with classwork, homework, and revision
Helping to manage behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment
Offering targeted support to students who may need extra help grasping key concepts
Contributing to wider school life, including extracurricular activities and enrichment
A degree in a maths based subject
A genuine interest in working with young people and in education
Some experience with secondary-aged pupils - e.g., through tutoring, mentoring, summer schools, or previous TA work
A confident communicator with good organisational skills
A proactive, positive, and reliable approach
