Business Development Associate: Portfolio Solutions Group
Overview
A global quantitative investment management firm is currently looking to appoint a Business Development Associate (Portfolio Solutions Group)to join its London-based team.
The Portfolio Solutions Group is part of the firm’s Business Development department. The team’s mission is to address the wider portfolio challenges of clients and the wider investor community, by producing pioneering thought leadership, such as papers and presentations, and by running custom analyses for individual clients covering a wide range of asset allocation and investment selection decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide support to senior members of the Portfolio Solutions Group, whose objective is to deepen relationships with investors through value-added analysis and thought leadership.
- Build and maintain analytical tools using Excel and/or Python.
- Perform a range of customized portfolio analyses in response to investor requests.
- Develop strong company product and multi-asset asset class knowledge and demonstrate interest in the broad field of investing.
- Liaise with other members of the firm (sales, marketing, research, portfolio management) across a variety of projects – asset class modeling, tool/infrastructure development, content creation, white papers analyses and distribution etc.
- Create and maintain up-to-date, high quality presentation materials.
Skills, Knowledge & Experience
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics, Finance, Business or a Science, Quantitative, or Engineering Program from a top university is preferred. Other degrees with appropriate work experience may also be considered.
- 3-5 years of relevant post-undergraduate experience at an investment management or asset management firm is preferred.
- High proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel.
- Coding proficiency, especially in Python, is a plus.

- Knowledge of finance and the investment management industry is highly desirable.
- Willingness to pursue the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
