This is an opportunity for an experienced MEP Project Manager to lead the delivery of a major MEP package on one of London's most prestigious five-star hospitality developments.
The project involves the transformation of a landmark heritage building into an ultra-luxury hotel, delivering world-class guest accommodation, signature food & beverage spaces, wellness facilities and back-of-house areas. Every element of the scheme is being delivered to the highest specification, with a strong emphasis on exceptional craftsmanship, bespoke finishes and seamless integration of complex building services.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the design coordination process, including BIM, across the MEP package.
Resolve design and site coordination challenges between shell & core services, hotel fit-out and specialist MEP installations, ensuring programme-aligned solutions.
Manage and coordinate the installation sequence of all mechanical, electrical and public health systems.
Lead and manage MEP trade contractors, ensuring delivery to programme, budget and the highest quality standards.
Prepare scopes of work and oversee the procurement of mechanical, electrical and public health trade contractors.
Supervise MEP installations, ensuring compliance with statutory regulations, Employer's Requirements and five-star hospitality standards.
Implement robust quality assurance, testing and health & safety procedures throughout delivery.
Manage package budgets and programmes to ensure successful delivery on time and within budget.
Provide regular progress updates and maintain clear communication with the client, consultants, contractors, specialist suppliers and the wider construction management team.
Identify design or Employer's Requirement non-compliance early and propose practical, cost- and programme-efficient solutions.
Oversee commissioning, witnessing, testing and handover, ensuring a seamless transition from trade contractors through to client operations.
Candidate Profile
Proven experience delivering MEP packages on luxury hotel, high-end hospitality or other technically complex construction projects, ideally on multi-million-pound developments.
Strong understanding of MEP coordination, installation sequencing, commissioning and managing specialist trade contractors.
Experience working within live or high-specification hospitality environments is highly desirable.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with a proactive, solutions-focused approach.
This is a rare opportunity to take ownership of a significant MEP package on one of London's flagship five-star hospitality developments, helping deliver an exceptional hotel to the highest standards of quality, craftsmanship and technical excellence.
