Senior Structural Designer / Offshore Surveyor

• Be technically competent in own discipline and actively maintains own competence according to standards and pursues continuous professional development.
• Have experience in producing and design checking structural arrangement drawings.
• Liaise closely with other disciplines to ensure all equipment requirements are addressed in the design, specification of equipment, construction sequencing and commissioning.
• Provide value adding knowledge to constructability reviews and take consideration of layout restrictions, ergonomics, safety, utilities and maintainability.

• Performing studies, FEED, and detail design of structural fabrications in an EPC environment or client role.
• Working in a brownfield environment.
• Civils design.
• Generating and design checking 3D models using Plant 3D.
• Primary and secondary structural designs.
• Producing and design checking installation sequence drawings, weight control reports and structural detail drawings
• The offshore and onshore gas business but similar transferrable industries skills will be also considered in leu of specific O&G experience.
• Producing and design checking deliverables that conform to all applicable industry engineering codes and standards as well as the client's policies and procedures relative to the equipment being specified. Sound knowledge of relevant commonly used codes therefore required.
• Coordinating and controlling vendor document submissions and reviews., HNC in relevant engineering discipline
• Offshore certification (preferred)
