The Opportunity
Wayman Education is seeking a creative and inspiring Music Teacher to join a vibrant and well-resourced department in Hillingdon . This is a fantastic opportunity for a specialist who can cultivate a love for music across the school, from fostering foundational skills in younger students to mentoring advanced musicians at GCSE and A-Level.
The Role
In this role, you will be responsible for delivering a broad and inclusive music curriculum. We are looking for an educator who is equally comfortable conducting a traditional ensemble as they are teaching modern music production. You will have the opportunity to shape the school's musical identity through both classroom teaching and a thriving extracurricular program.
Key Responsibilities:
Curriculum Delivery: Teach Music across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (GCSE) , with potential for A-Level or BTEC Level 3 based on experience.
Practical & Theory: Balance the development of practical performance skills with a deep understanding of music theory, composition, and historical context.
Music Technology: Utilize the school's digital suites (e.g., Logic Pro, GarageBand, or Sibelius) to teach modern composition and recording techniques.
Extracurricular Enrichment: Lead and grow school ensembles, such as choirs, orchestras, or rock bands, and coordinate termly concerts and community performances.

Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
A degree in Music or Music Production .
Proficiency in at least one instrument (Piano or Guitar is advantageous).

A passion for inclusive music education and the ability to inspire students of all abilities and backgrounds.
