Tax Investigations Consultant - UK Remote

Our client is a leading provider of services to accountancy firm. They are looking for a Tax professional to join an existing team of over 30 advisers and consultants. The ideal candidate will have a solid grounding in general tax with sound tax investigations/enquiry experience gained either in practice or with HMRC (ideally Grade 7 or above but will consider candidates qualified by experience). You will deal with all manner of tax disputes work from full to aspect enquires. UK remote worked with some UK travel.
To manage a case load of insured and uninsured direct tax income tax and/or Corporation tax compliance cases as well providing written consultancy reports. To manage internal compliance including anti money laundering regulatory requirements.
Working within a team of Tax & Enquiries Consultants.
Carrying out in depth research, producing assignments and undertaking reports for clients.
Providing background technical and tactical assistance to clients (accountants and tax agents)
Drafting letters to HMRC on behalf of clients & drafting technical opinions where necessary
Full case management responsibility including liaising with HMRC to bring Income Tax/CT Enquiry cases to a close
Attendance at Alternative Dispute Resolution meetings
Making arrangements and case management in relation to Tribunal hearing (providing representation at tribunal is dependent upon experience)
Maintaining a strong working knowledge in respect of all areas of Direct Tax, including keeping up to date with the appropriate legislation and developments in law
Reviewing reports and providing second opinions as and when required
Providing content to marketing team to promote the firm's services
Great role which is mainly remote worked with some UK travel. Full time or 4 day week considered. Unfortunately this role does not come with visa sponsorship.
