Join us on our journey, where innovation knows no bounds and excellence is the standard.
The role:
As a Senior Events Director, you will be responsible for the overall strategic direction, commercial success and flawless delivery of one of This is Beyond’s major events. You will lead a multidisciplinary team across sales, marketing, content and operations, ensuring every element of the event aligns with our values, brand standards and business objectives.
This role requires equal parts strategic thinking and hands-on leadership. You will shape the event’s long-term vision, develop and deliver its commercial strategy, and ensure it continues to evolve as a world-class platform that connects and inspires the most influential players in luxury travel.
You will not simply deliver an event; you will nurture a living community of people and ideas. You will build something that grows year after year, creating experiences that inspire leaders, shift perspectives and spark lasting change.
What you will do:
Strategic Leadership and Direction
- Set and deliver the event’s strategic roadmap, ensuring it drives growth, impact and industry leadership.
- Own the event’s P&L, overseeing budgeting, forecasting and financial performance to meet ambitious revenue and profitability targets.
- Monitor market trends, customer insights and competitor activity to inform innovation and maintain a competitive edge.
- Contribute to company-wide strategic discussions, helping to shape the future direction of This is Beyond’s portfolio.
Team Leadership and Development
- Lead and inspire a team of senior managers and heads of department across sales, marketing and operations.
- Foster a culture of clarity, accountability and collaboration, ensuring everyone is aligned to shared goals.
- Coach, mentor and support your team to achieve their potential, encouraging ownership, innovation and continuous improvement.
- Model leadership behaviours that reflect This is Beyond’s values: trust, curiosity, integrity, excellence and generosity.
Commercial and Analytical Focus
- Drive revenue and audience growth through effective commercial strategies and data-led decision making.
- Oversee exhibitor and buyer acquisition, retention and satisfaction, ensuring a consistently high calibre of participants.
- Evaluate event performance using clear metrics, drawing insights to refine strategy and enhance results.
- Balance creativity and commerciality, ensuring that every innovation adds measurable value.
Customer and Stakeholder Engagement
- Act as the senior ambassador for your event, engaging and networking directly with industry leaders, partners and stakeholders.
- Build and nurture strong, long-term relationships with exhibitors, buyers and sponsors.
- Represent This is Beyond with confidence, energy and authenticity in meetings, presentations and international forums.
- Ensure every customer touchpoint reflects the exceptional service, quality and attention to detail for which our brand is known.
Innovation and Experience Design
- Lead the continuous evolution of your event’s format, content and experience.
- Collaborate with creative and production teams to ensure the event feels alive, relevant and ahead of its time.
- Champion innovation, exploring new formats, technologies and approaches that deepen engagement and community value.
- Ensure the overall experience consistently delivers on our promise: to create meaningful connections that drive personal and professional transformation.
What you will need:
A strong commercial mindset grounded in real-world experience. You will likely come from a background in luxury hospitality, sales and marketing, or business development, ideally within luxury hotels, luxury events or travel brands
Experience in budget management, P&L ownership, and commercial strategy development. A strong understanding of the dynamics of premium client relationships, the power of storytelling in driving sales, and the discipline of delivering commercial results.
Strong strategic and analytical skills, with a track record of making data-driven decisions.
You will be confident leading complex P&Ls, developing growth strategies and motivating teams to exceed ambitious targets. You will be a proven excellent negotiator, stakeholder manager, team manager and relationship-builder.
An operational mindset with hands-on event management experience. You will understand the intricacies of event delivery, logistics and on-site execution, and can translate strategy into flawless real-world experiences.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, global environment.
Willingness to travel internationally to oversee event execution and engage with key stakeholders.
Most importantly, you will have the energy and hunger to build on success; to take something extraordinary and make it even better.
Our Values
- Curiosity - Always ask why. Open your mind to new perspectives and possibilities, and never settle.
- Integrity - Be driven by good, not greed. You control your decisions, so make your actions count.
- Teamwork - Empower others and leave your ego at the door. Good relationships are a competition of generosity.
