The Team

The procurement team are fundamental to our company, by combining the rich experience of our people with the innovative use of our technology, Nomia brings a unique and disruptive procurement solution to our customers to better-manage their tail spend.

Procurement is responsible for the end-to-end sourcing and procurement activities for customer tail spend projects. We are trusted by our customers to maximise the value of their investment and provide an excellent customer experience.

The team is focused on developing strong global category strategy, regional supplier relationships, and speed of project execution through a global purchasing team. Our talented and high-performing global team works with customers across Europe, Middle East, North America, and Asia.

The Role

You will play a key role in driving Nomia’s purchasing operations, ensuring the effective and accurate execution of the end-to-end procurement process. You’re detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple priorities while communicating clearly with suppliers, stakeholders, and colleagues across regions. Your focus on accuracy, compliance, and service excellence ensures a seamless experience for both customers and partners.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Take full ownership of the end-to-end (E2E) purchasing request process, driving operational excellence and ensuring alignment with company goals.
  • Manage receipt and acknowledgment of RFQs via the Nomia platform with high accuracy and timeliness.
  • Analyse and interpret customer requirements, escalating or rerouting to Regional and Category teams as necessary to ensure clarity and fit.
  • Lead strategic sourcing and supplier selection efforts to secure competitive pricing and favorable terms within established SLAs.
  • Ensure all suppliers are fully onboarded and compliant, collaborating closely with onboarding teams in an onboarding projects.
  • Review and approve supplier quotes, verifying that Terms & Conditions and Payment Terms comply with Nomia standards, or coordinate approval processes for exceptions.
  • Generate and review quotes and materials within the Nomia platform and Business Central as needed.
  • Oversee Purchase Order (PO) processing, including receipt, validation, and acceptance via the Nomia platform, supporting customers in PO creation through other tools when required.
  • Validate customer POs against supplier quotes and ensure stock availability, proactively managing any discrepancies.
  • Raise supplier POs via the Nomia platform and Business Central as required, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Confirm supplier acceptance of POs and monitor delivery timelines to mitigate risk of delays.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to obtain Goods Receipts (GRs) and invoices, facilitating timely and accurate customer invoicing.
  • Prepare or verify sales invoices in Business Central, ensuring seamless integration with the Nomia platform.
  • Respond promptly to complex customer and supplier queries, offering effective solutions via the Nomia platform.
  • Identify and resolve issues within the procurement cycle, recommending process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce risk.
  • Maintain strict adherence to data integrity standards by following established playbooks and company policies.
  • Provide insights and reports to senior management on procurement activities, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Support the company’s strategic objective of becoming a market leader in the procure-tech sector by contributing to process automation and innovation initiatives.
  • As the most senior role within the Purchasing team you might be required to step into a Deputy role assisting the Team Manager.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Comprehensive understanding of E2E purchasing workflows, with a strong focus on process optimization and supplier management.
  • Demonstrated experience in S2C and/or P2P processes, including supplier onboarding and compliance management.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes.
  • Strong communication skills, capable of engaging effectively with stakeholders at all organizational levels.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and Word.
  • Comfortable with phone and email communications in a professional setting.
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics (Business Central) preferred but not mandatory.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and complex workflows efficiently.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify opportunities for process improvements.

General

  • Ensure compliance with Nomia’s data protection and information security policies.
  • Whilst this position is Hybrid, twice a week working from the office is required, possibly more whilst training and if requested by supervisor.
