SEN Teaching Assistant - Islington Two-Form Entry Primary School Posted by Veritas Education ⭐ Location: Islington, London Contract: Full-time, Long-term (with potential to become permanent) Start Date: ASAP Salary: £90-£115 a day Veritas Education is seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming two-form entry primary school located in the heart of Islington. This is an excellent opportunity for a committed and enthusiastic TA with a strong background in supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs. About the Role As an SEN TA, you will work closely with class teachers, the SENCO, and the wider school team to provide tailored support to pupils with a range of needs. You will be working across all Key Stages, supporting both individuals and small groups to help them access the curriculum and achieve their full potential. Key Responsibilities Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with a variety of SEN, including ASD, ADHD, speech and language needs, and SEMH. Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering differentiated learning activities. Implement individualised Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs). Build strong, positive relationships with pupils to promote engagement and confidence. Work collaboratively with the SENCO and external professionals where required. Maintain a safe, inclusive and nurturing learning environment.Requirements Previous SEN experience is essential (school-based experience strongly preferred). Ability to support pupils across EYFS, KS1 and KS2. Confident, patient and adaptable in your approach. Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
