Brand Director

Wild Cosmetics
London

About Us:

Hi there We're Wild. We set out to remove single-use plastic from the bathroom and ended up building one of the fastest-growing personal care brands in Europe. Our refillable, natural deodorant is now in millions of hands, our cases are collected like accessories, and our collaborations - from Disney to seasonal scent drops - keep the brand fresh, playful and impossible to ignore. Now part of the Unilever family, we have the backing to go global while keeping the pace, ambition and mischief of a start-up.

The Role

Wild is at an inflection point. What started as a UK direct-to-consumer brand is now a global, omnichannel business: new markets, new categories, major retail partnerships and licensing collaborations with some of the biggest IP in the world. The brand that got us here now needs to carry us somewhere much bigger, and this role exists to own that shift.

Reporting to the CMO, you will be accountable for how Wild looks, sounds and feels everywhere it shows up in the world, from TikTok to a Tesco end-cap to a licensed range on shelf in a new market.

You will lead two teams. The Brand team spans social, licensing, copy, comms and brand management and The Creative team produces the work itself, across packaging, digital, POS, and photography. A core part of this role is fusing these into a single brand engine, not two departments, and making sure that engine powers the whole of marketing.

Wild is scaling fast, and your job is to mature the brand: sharper systems, higher craft, world-class execution across every touchpoint and market. But maturity cannot mean sameness. Wild should always feel exciting, unpredictable and entrepreneurial, and always be instantly recognisable as Wild.

What you'll do

  • Lead global brand strategy, identity and tone of voice. Set the standard for how Wild shows up across every channel, market and licensing partner, and build the team and guardrails that let others make good calls day to day.

  • Lead and develop the Brand and Creative teams, raising the craft of the output while protecting the speed and volume a social-first brand demands. Bring them together as one engine, not two departments.

  • Grow the brand internationally, with the US as a priority: ensuring Wild feels unmistakably Wild outside the UK while flexing intelligently for local shoppers, retailers and culture.

  • Support the translation of Wild into retail. As we scale across major retailers, ensure the brand lands with the same distinctiveness and craft on a shelf tray, FSDU or end-cap as it does on our own channels, and that retail becomes a brand-building stage in its own right.

  • Champion big, distinctive brand moments: campaigns, collaborations and stunts that earn attention and keep Wild unpredictable.

  • Set brand health targets by market, track them, and actively move them. Report on brand progress to leadership quarterly, and use those readings to shape where and how we invest.

  • Act as a senior voice in the marketing leadership team, deputising for the CMO on brand matters where needed.

⭐️ About you

  • A senior brand leader (Brand Director, Head of Brand or equivalent) with experience running a brand globally or across multiple markets.

  • You have led both brand and creative functions, or brought the two closer together, and you know how to get strategists and makers pulling in the same direction.

  • Evidence of sharp creative judgement, with genuine creative experience behind it. You have been close enough to the work to know how a creative team works and can raise the bar without doing the work yourself.

  • You know how brands win in physical retail: packaging, POS and in-store activation are second nature, not an afterthought.

  • Experience in fast-growth consumer brands; you are comfortable with pace, ambiguity and shipping before things are perfect.

  • Commercially sharp - you connect brand decisions to business outcomes and can hold your own in a boardroom.

  • An excellent people leader with a track record of building, developing and retaining high-performing teams.

  • Experience with licensing or major brand partnerships is a strong plus.

⚡️What you’ll get from us:

  • 25 days holidays + bank holidays + 9 extra remote working days

  • Hybrid working, 3 days a week in our shiny new London office

  • Enhanced maternity, paternity & parental leave

  • 4% Company Pension

  • Mental well-being support through Spill

  • Private healthcare through Vitality

  • Weekly early finishes and social events

  • Annual L&D budget

  • Free breakfast

  • Free & discounted Wild products

  • 2 x team volunteering days and 2 x personal volunteering days
