Purpose:
As a Painter and Decorator at Smart Managed Solutions, you will play a crucial role in ensuring facilities operate smoothly and exceed service level expectations. You will perform routine maintenance tasks and respond to reactive repairs, including painting, decorating, and various DIY projects to maintain a high standard of facility appearance and functionality. Your responsibilities also encompass safe handling and storage of equipment and stock.
Working closely with the engineering team, you will ensure all planned and reactive activities meet rigorous service standards and customer satisfaction. Keeping meticulous maintenance records and fostering positive relationships with colleagues and clients are integral to your role. Upholding a safe, healthy work environment and complying with company and client policies demonstrate your commitment to operational excellence and exemplary customer service.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Painting and decorating tasks
- Mix and match paint colours using colour charts and formulas
- Apply multiple coats as required and ensure smooth, even finishes.
- Assist the wider engineering team when required
- Apply paint, varnish, stain, enamel, or other finishes to surfaces using brushes, rollers, or sprayers.
- Carry out PPM checks and other maintenance tasks when required
- Maintain accurate records and documentation
- Use ladders, scaffolding, and safety equipment appropriately.
- Manage consumable stock, tools and equipment.
- Adhere to all health and safety principles ensuring the safety of yourself and others
Requirements:
- An industry recognised qualification in Painting and Decorating
