Specifically, the role will support the training of university staff in the effective use of a new institutional lecture capture system in teaching and learning. This will involve running a wide range of staff development workshops, both face to face and online, delivering one-to-one support sessions, developing training materials and other asynchronous online support resources, supporting online accessibility, and providing general support and problem solving in using and implementing learning technologies related to lecture capture.

They will have a minimum of a BA/BSc in a relevant area (e.g. Graphic Design, Education, Education Technology, Computer Science, or other degree where relevant digital skills were developed) and will be an experienced learning technologist with a minimum of 2 years in such a role. They will have significant experience in supporting academic staff in online, blended and digitally supported learning, teaching and assessment, including the use of core learning technologies (including a VLE), and in developing and planning online learning, teaching and assessment resources. Ideally, they will be experienced in using and supporting lecture capture systems.
