We are seeking an enthusiastic, creative, and highly skilled Design and Technology Teacher to join the thriving faculty at an Outstanding Ofsted-rated secondary academy in the Ealing area of Inner West London.

- Teach Design and Technology across Key Stages 3 & 4 (KS3/KS4), with the ability to offer a specialism (e.g., Graphics, Resistant Materials, or Food Tech) to Key Stage 5 (KS5).
- Recruitment and Retention (R&R) Allowance of £2,000 available
The Opportunity
The successful applicant will be an inspirational and highly effective DT specialist dedicated to fostering creativity, practical skills, and design thinking in our students. This role focuses on outstanding classroom practice and managing high-quality practical projects, contributing directly to the department's strong results.
To secure an exceptional candidate, this role comes with an attractive Recruitment and Retention (R&R) Allowance of £2,000 per annum . This financial incentive is a purely financial reward designed to support excellent teachers and their commitment to our school community.

We Are Looking For:
- A qualified teacher with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) .
- A proven track record as an excellent Design and Technology Teacher with experience teaching a specialism to at least Key Stage 4 (GCSE) .
- Proficiency with relevant workshop machinery and/or CAD/CAM technology.
- A genuine passion for design, making, and the ability to inspire students of all abilities.
- The drive to uphold and contribute to the academy’s Outstanding standards.
Salary and Benefits
- Main Pay Scale/Upper Pay Scale (MPS/UPS) for Teachers.
- The base salary will be paid according to experience within the statutory Inner London Pay Scale (The Inner London Main Pay Range minimum is approximately £40,317 as of September 2025).
- A fixed Recruitment and Retention (R&R) Allowance of £2,000 per annum.
