Competitive salary plus car allowance (cash equivalent) and full family healthcare, 25 days a nnual leave plus bank holidays (pro rata)
Contract: Fixed-term 6 months.
Location: 185 Farringdon Road, London, EC1A 1AA - hybrid working (3 days in the office)

We’re looking for an Employee Engagement Lead to play a pivotal leadership role in shaping and delivering a progressive, insight-led Employee Engagement strategy. This is a senior role for an experienced programme manager with deep expertise in colleague listening, recognition, and engagement, and the ability to deliver meaningful, measurable change across a large and complex organisation.
What you’ll be doing
- Lead the development and delivery of a forward-looking Employee Engagement strategy, with a strong focus on integrated colleague listening and performance-driven recognition.
- Work with senior leaders to embed engagement, listening, and recognition into business planning and decision-making.
- Design and deliver initiatives that promote psychological safety, encourage colleagues to speak up, and recognise contribution and performance.
- Lead the delivery of engagement activity including surveys, listening mechanisms, strategic action planning, and progress measurement.
- Use engagement, recognition, and listening data to identify trends, assess impact, and drive continuous improvement through targeted interventions.
- Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Represent Royal Mail in external forums and partnerships, enhancing the organisation’s reputation as an inclusive employer.
What we’re looking for
- Working knowledge of Peakon (essential)
- Extensive experience delivering colleague listening and recognition strategies in large, complex organisations.
- A track record of achieving measurable improvements in employee engagement and cultural transformation.
- Strong presentation and facilitation skills
- Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
- Strategic thinking and strong problem-solving skills.
- Confidence influencing and partnering with senior stakeholders.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to turn data into insight and action.
- Resilience, adaptability, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
