The Chancery Rosewood, is redefining luxury in Mayfair, housed in the former U.S. Embassy and reimagined by Sir David Chipperfield. With 144 suites by Joseph Dirand and a collection of dynamic dining and bar spaces, it’s a place where experiences are curated, conversations flow, and every detail matters.
As a Door Person, you will be the face of our hotel — the very first and last impression a guest takes with them. This role is about far more than opening doors; it is about creating a genuine sense of arrival, making every guest feel expected, valued, and cared for from the moment they step onto our forecourt. If you have a natural warmth, a proactive mindset, and a passion for delivering exceptional hospitality, we would love to welcome you to our team.
Key Responsibilities
- Warmly welcome guests upon arrival and departure, delivering a friendly, polished, and professional first impression that sets the tone for their entire stay.
- Proactively assist with the loading and unloading of luggage, handling all items with care, efficiency, and attention to detail.
- Provide guests with knowledgeable information about hotel services, amenities, and local experiences, offering personalised recommendations that genuinely enhance their stay.
- Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation, and safety at the hotel entrance, ensuring a consistently welcoming environment for every guest.
- Collaborate seamlessly with colleagues across all departments, communicating guest needs and arrivals clearly to ensure a smooth, unified service experience.
- Assisting with the parking of cars and vehicles, a full UK Drivers License is essential.
About You
- Connection — You have a natural gift for making people feel genuinely welcome, building warm and authentic relationships with guests and colleagues alike, and ensuring that every arrival feels personal, memorable, and effortlessly warm.
- Guest-Centricity — You understand that as a Door Person you are the heartbeat of the guest's first impression, and you take that responsibility seriously — anticipating needs before they are voiced, personalising every interaction, and consistently delivering service that exceeds expectations.
- Influencing — You communicate with confidence, clarity, and charm, whether sharing a local recommendation, coordinating an arrival with the front desk, or reassuring a guest during a busy period — always adapting your approach to suit the individual in front of you.
- Integrity — You take pride in upholding the hotel's standards at all times, handling guest belongings and sensitive information with the utmost care and professionalism, and representing the hotel with consistency and pride whether the lobby is quiet or at its busiest.
- Drive — You bring enthusiasm and energy to every shift, proactively identifying what needs to be done before being asked, finding swift solutions when challenges arise, and always going the extra mile to ensure every guest leaves with a lasting positive impression.
- Adaptability — You remain composed, resourceful, and positive in a fast-moving environment, adjusting seamlessly to changing priorities, unexpected situations, and the varied needs of an international guest profile without ever missing a beat.
