Graduate Technical Consultant : Trading Platform

Quant Capital is urgently looking for an Graduate Technical Consultant to join our high profile client.

My client is a global financial software house, specialising in high end trading platforms for the asset management and hedge fund sector. It has platforms in both the risk and trading space.

Day to day you will be integrating my client’s platforms to their clients’ environments; through on-site operations, rapid application development or remote connections. You will ensure successful completion of this phase, either with my clients’ teams or with their internal production department.

Day to day you will take responsibility for complete greenfield implementations and very quickly have sole client responsibility (very rare for the CV).

You will also be in charge of the Level 2 support, which includes taking ownership of all the alerts raised by customers or the internally.

Offsite you will produce regular updates / checkpoints to both his clients and the different Project Managers you are working with.

Candidates must have:

• Degree ideally in computer science
• Experience of Development or Application Support
• Ability to use XML or Java
• SQL
• Linux
• Want or have experience of financial services / trading / asset management
• Excellent client facing skills
• Able to communicate effectively at all levels and explain technical concepts in simple terminology

This role suits a graduate or consultant who has had maybe a years experience or some coding exposureand is looking for the next step into trading technology or a bright grad who wants to combine a development skill set with client facing and management.
