About the Role:
We are looking for a Results & Delivery Office Manager to establish and lead our delivery governance capability across strategic programmes and projects.
This is initially a standalone role. You will operate as the central point of oversight for portfolio delivery, working directly with senior leadership to bring structure, visibility and accountability to complex, cross functional initiatives.
You must be comfortable rolling up your sleeves and owning everything from governance frameworks and reporting dashboards to stakeholder challenge and benefits tracking.
Longer term, there is clear opportunity to build and shape a broader delivery team as our global programme portfolio continues to grow.
If you are commercially minded, data driven, and confident influencing senior stakeholders in a global manufacturing business, this is a rare opportunity to build something meaningful from the ground up.
Role Responsibilities:
Strategic Portfolio & Programme Management
• Oversee the end to end delivery lifecycle across strategic programmes and projects
• Maintain clear oversight of portfolio risks, dependencies, resource requirements and benefits
• Track delivery against KPIs, budgets, milestones and benefits realisation
• Provide structured challenge to ensure focus on outcomes, not activity
Governance & Delivery Standards
• Establish and embed best practice programme and portfolio management frameworks
• Facilitate steering committees, stage gate reviews and portfolio governance forums
• Ensure consistent standards across reporting, risk management and documentation
Reporting, Data & Insight
• Produce accurate, timely executive dashboards and portfolio reports
• Deliver data driven insights on delivery health, risk exposure and resource constraints
• Enable informed decision making at senior leadership and Board level
Stakeholder Engagement
• Partner with senior leaders across operations, finance, engineering and commercial teams
• Present clear options, impact analysis and scenario planning
• Coordinate cross functional activity to remove blockers and drive accountability
Resource & Capacity Planning
• Oversee portfolio level resource planning and capability gaps
• Work closely with leadership and HR to optimise allocation and future capability build
Continuous Improvement
• Identify inefficiencies and drive process improvement across delivery practices
• Champion structured project management and lessons learned culture
• Lay the foundations for scaling a future delivery team
What you'll need:
We are looking for someone who combines structure with pragmatism and confidence with emotional intelligence.
Essential Experience
• Strong background in PMO, Delivery Office, Programme Management or Portfolio Management
• Experience overseeing multi project portfolios in a fast paced environment
• Advanced reporting and analytical capability
• Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
• Deep understanding of risk, governance and delivery frameworks
• Comfortable operating independently without a large support team
• Confident working with teams who may have varied levels of project delivery maturity
• Strong systems capability across tools such as MS Project, Planview, Power BI, Excel and similar portfolio platforms
Desirable
• PRINCE2, MSP, PMP, Agile or Lean certification
• Experience within manufacturing or industrial environments
• Exposure to global operations
• Experience supporting organisational transformation or change initiatives
• Involvement in M&A integration activity
