Role Profile

Our client, a leading organisation in the Investment Banking sector, is seeking a highly skilled Project Manager / Release Train Engineer (RTE) to support their Global Rates Risk technology organisation.

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in providing delivery management, planning, governance, and Agile leadership across a portfolio of strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate closely with the lead for Rates Risk Technology to coordinate delivery across multiple teams.
• Drive alignment of priorities and roadmaps while ensuring clear visibility of progress, risks, and dependencies.
• Act as the central point of coordination for the global Rates Risk Agile Release Train, combining traditional project management responsibilities with RTE accountabilities.
• Facilitate planning events, manage cross–team dependencies, and support Programme Increment (PI) planning.
• Track delivery against objectives and promote continuous improvement across the group.
• Produce status reports, maintain project and programme governance, and ensure stakeholders are informed of key milestones, risks, and achievements.
• Work closely with technology leads and delivery teams across regions to ensure successful execution of the Rates Risk roadmap.

Skills & Experience:

• Strong project management capabilities with excellent planning, prioritisation, and organisational skills.
• Proven experience managing end–to–end software development projects, from initiation through to delivery and post–implementation support.
• Solid understanding of Agile delivery methodologies, with hands–on experience facilitating stand–ups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, retrospectives, and other Scrum ceremonies.
• Proficiency in Microsoft productivity and collaboration tools, including PowerPoint, Visio, Copilot, Excel, and Teams.
• Good working knowledge of JIRA, including workflow management, backlog tracking, dependency management, and reporting.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both technical and business audiences.
• Ability to coordinate cross–functional teams, manage competing priorities, and drive delivery against agreed timelines and objectives.
• Experience producing clear project documentation, status reporting, risk management plans, and executive updates.
• Experience working in a banking environment is essential.
• Previous experience within Financial Services, Capital Markets, or Trading Technology environments.
• Knowledge of risk management platforms, front–office technology, or market risk processes.
