A specialist SEN school in Newham is seeking a committed and compassionate SEN Care Worker to provide essential care and support to pupils with complex needs, including Autism and ADHD . This full-time role is ideal for someone who is nurturing, reliable, and confident in delivering high-quality care within an educational setting.

You will play a crucial role in helping students access learning safely, maintain dignity, and build independence through consistent emotional and practical support.

Your Key Responsibilities

Provide personal care including toileting, dressing support, and hygiene needs

Support pupils with Autism and ADHD through structured routines and behaviour strategies

Assist teachers in creating a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment

Encourage communication, engagement, independence, and confidence

Support students during transitions, outdoor activities, and sensory sessions

Work collaboratively with SEN staff, therapists, and senior leaders

What We Are Looking For

Experience supporting children or young adults with Autism and ADHD

Confidence and professionalism in carrying out personal care

Patience, resilience, empathy, and a positive attitude

Strong communication skills and ability to build trust

Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
