HGV Technician (Commercial Vehicle)
Alexander James Recruiting is currently working with a leading supplier of Commercial Vehicles that are seeking a HGV Technician to carry out maintenance at their depot in Reading. With a competitive base salary and overall benefits package, this is a great opportunity for an experienced HGV Technician looking to get into a new role or an LCV Technician interested in training on HGV’s.
Responsibilities
- Carrying out repairs, inspections and preventative maintenance of HGV’s from the company’s depot in Reading for customers in the surrounding areas
- Working closely with repairs teams in carrying out diagnostics of HGV’s
- Maintaining all related administrative tasks to include completion of records, documentation and paperwork
- Ensuring that the highest levels of Health & Safety, Compliance and quality are adhered to
- Working closely with the rest of the workshop team and the Manager
- Representing the company in a professional manner when communicating with customers
Requirements
In terms of experience, you will ideally be a qualified HGV Technician holding an NVQ level 3 or equivalent. This isn’t however essential, they would also consider and experienced LCV Technician who would be interested in working on HGV’s that the company will provide with upskill training. In terms of location, you will need to be based within commutable distance of Reading.
