Year 1 Teacher — Richmond
A warm, well-resourced Richmond primary is seeking an enthusiastic and reflective Year 1 Teacher to join KS1 on a Full-Time basis from January 2026. The successful Year 1 Teacher will be invited to pre-term planning before January 2026, will attend induction in January 2026, and will teach from January 2026 as the Year 1 Teacher. This Full-Time Year 1 Teacher post is perfect for a teacher who loves systematic phonics, early reading and practical, play-informed learning.

Year 1 Teacher Responsibilities
The Year 1 Teacher will: deliver high-quality systematic phonics as the Year 1 Teacher; run guided reading, writing and early maths sessions as the Year 1 Teacher; design purposeful continuous provision and use formative assessment to personalise learning as the Year 1 Teacher. The Year 1 Teacher will run small-group interventions, lead parental meetings and contribute to moderation activities scheduled around January 2026. The Year 1 Teacher will be preparing resources prior to January 2026 and will be in class from January 2026 as a Full-Time Year 1 Teacher.
Year 1 Teacher Requirements
We are seeking a Year 1 Teacher with QTS (or equivalent), secure KS1 experience and strong phonics delivery. The Year 1 Teacher should be calm, organised and committed to inclusive practice. The Year 1 Teacher must be available for pre-term planning before January 2026, induction in January 2026, and a Full-Time start from January 2026.
