The Role

As our Commercial Finance Manager, you will build the engine room of Commercial Finance at Healf. This role is about turning forecasting, budgeting, and reporting into sharp, decision-ready tools that shape priorities and drive disciplined execution as we scale.

You will own the mechanics behind our numbers, from driver-based models to weekly trading packs, ensuring leadership has the clarity, pace, and credibility of insight needed to move fast and move smart.

This is not a back-office reporting role. It is a high-impact position at the heart of commercial decision-making.

Where You’ll Make An Impact

• Own Forecasting & Planning Mechanics: Build and operate robust, driver-based forecast models grounded in bottom-up customer and trading data. Ensure forecasts are credible, timely, and consistently used to guide decisions.

• Lead Budgeting & Reforecasting Cycles: Design and run structured annual budgets and rolling reforecasts that focus the business on trade-offs, resource allocation, and prioritisation.

• Deliver Best-in-Class Weekly Trading Packs: Produce clear, decision-led performance reporting that becomes the foundation for action-oriented leadership discussions.

• Run Scenario Modelling & Sensitivity Analysis: Translate strategic questions into financial scenarios that meaningfully inform trade-offs, risk management, and growth choices.

• Raise the Bar on Insight Quality: Create consistency, rigour, and discipline in how Commercial Finance operates, ensuring analysis is sharp, relevant, and commercially grounded.

What You’ll Bring

• A recognised accounting qualification such as CIMA, ACCA, or equivalent.

• Strong experience in FP&A or Commercial Finance roles, ideally within a fast-growing, high-volume retail or ecommerce environment.

• Advanced financial modelling capability, with a proven track record building and running driver-based forecast models from the ground up.

• Experience leading annual budgets and rolling reforecasts in dynamic environments.

• Confidence preparing executive-level performance packs that cut through noise and drive action.

• Exceptional analytical rigour combined with the ability to structure ambiguity into clear, simple narratives.

• A systems-oriented mindset, with genuine interest in automation, scalable modelling, and building processes that grow with the business.

• The credibility and communication skills to partner closely with senior stakeholders and influence decision-making.

Bonus Points If You Have

• Early career training in Big 4 or Investment Banking, with deep exposure to financial statement mechanics and modelling discipline.

• Experience in high-growth ecommerce or retail businesses with complex trading dynamics.

• Strong understanding of how customer-level data translates into P&L performance.

• Exposure to building or improving commercial finance functions in scaling businesses.
