Employment Type: Full time

Salary: Competitive

The Role

This role sits within the Client Data & Analytics (CD&A) team, supporting the firm's transition to an Enterprise Data Platform and next-generation reporting. You will focus on enabling high-quality data ingestion, supporting analysts with accurate and accessible data, and developing reporting solutions using Power BI. You'll play a key role in building scalable data solutions, automating client reporting processes, and ensuring the team has the tools, visibility, and technical capability to deliver high-quality insight to clients.

The Team

The CD&A team is primarily based in Manchester and supports Casualty service lines, with growing reach across the UK and globally. The team's focus is on delivering value through client data, enabling insight, improving operational reporting, and supporting the firm's broader data and analytics strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Data Management & Quality: Maintain and develop the ingestion and modelling of CMS data within the CD&A environment. Proactively validate data against front-end systems to ensure accuracy and integrity. Identify, triage, and resolve data issues, carrying out root cause analysis where required.

  • Data Pipeline & Technical Collaboration: Work closely with technical teams to maintain and enhance end-to-end data pipelines, from data capture through to client reporting. Contribute to the ongoing optimisation of data architecture and processes.

  • Reporting & Visualisation: Design and develop Power BI dashboards and paginated reports to meet internal and business requirements. Review and provide sign-off on technical solutions delivered within the Power BI service.

  • Stakeholder Support & Solution Design: Translate business and client requirements into effective, data-driven solutions. Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for CD&A data and its sources.

  • Team Enablement: Ensure the team has clear visibility of available data and access to the tools needed to perform effectively. Support continuous improvement in how data is accessed, used, and understood across the team.

  • Additional Responsibilities: Support ad hoc data, reporting, and analysis tasks as required.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Strong experience working within a data-focused role.

  • Proficiency in SQL, data structures, and database architecture.

  • Experience with Microsoft tools, including full Power BI toolset.

  • Ability to translate business requirements into data solutions.

  • Experience delivering end-to-end data products (from requirement gathering to delivery).

  • Understanding of data transformation, modelling, and reporting processes.

  • Background in insurance or legal sectors (or ability to quickly build domain knowledge).

  • Experience working with senior stakeholders and acting as a trusted advisor.

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present technical outputs clearly.

What sets this role apart

  • Opportunity to be part of a significant data transformation, including EDP, Power BI adoption, and global system changes.

  • High level of ownership in shaping data pipelines, reporting solutions, and team capability.

  • Exposure to a growing analytics function with increasing global reach and impact.
